The origins of Quantity Surveying trace back over two centuries to 1785 where the son of a master carpenter founded a firm of Quantity Surveyors in Reading England called Cooper and Sons and opened their second office in London in 1799 and carried out a lot of engineering projects throughout the 19th century.

In 1895 Henry Cooper’s Grandson sold the practice to John Rider Hunt where our corporate name originated, in which the practice signed a partnering agreement when John Rider Hunt died in 1910. Since then Rider Hunt has been operating worldwide.

Today RLB is a global company offering a construction consulting services in every continent with more than 3000 people consisting of Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Engineers, and Architects.
